people say they don’t give a fox
they claim to have no foxes to give
what an extremely silly thing to say
we all have foxes behind our door
the problem is others want our foxes
we need most of them for ourselves
their fur radiates warmth and peace
they teach us not to chase our tails
if we love you we will share our foxes
even strangers in need may merit one
but we have no foxes to give those
who insist our foxes belong to them
