-a lazy morning

-on of last night’s muffins for breakfast with a French press full of black coffee drunk in a tiny cup

-a good book

-changed my sheets

-tidied

-heard from a young couple I adore asking if they should stop on there way through town: Yes!

-made lunch for us before they arrived

-listed to Van Morison while I cooked

-lunch (green rice with orange peppers, shallot, coconut butter, turmeric, salt and pepper, and sesame oil, mixed with garbanzo beans cooked with garlic, sweet potato, purple cauliflower, feta cheese, olive oil, and some arugula)

-good stories and lots of catching up

-a nice walk

-more talk and stories

-a pick-your-own apple snack

-goodbyes

-ice cream and some cookies at the co-op, outside with a book

-local sweet potato and local garlic to take home, along with the box of cookies

-my friend’s open studio

-bought a sweet little painting

-shared the cookies

-got treated to a mead tasting

-one tasted like hopeful desperation, one like the gum an angel would chew

-a short, lovely walk home

-made brown rice and roasted sweet potatoes to make veggie burgers

-drinking tea and watching a campy show “Kleo”

-feeling thankful for my life
