calling all fingers

our world is broken
we have ignored the
cracks though Leonard
Ernest and Rumi told
us that is how the light
gets in these cracks
are deep perhaps it is
time for those of us with
smaller amounts of
power to walk towards
the cracks together to
gather the gold of our
joys and our kindnesses
and shove them into bags
woven from strings of hope
and fill these fissures formed
by hatred and greed and dam
and damn that ugly swollen flow
