it’s been feeling like a weird day
and now I know for sure I just saw
a man in a misshapen suede hat
and well worn Birkenstock sandals
walking shoulders slumped in an old
leather jacket down the sidewalk
carrying a fifth of vodka by the neck
it was capped but there was no bag
