in-between times

I adore the in-between times
the stepping from here to there
times yet all our moments are
here-and-now though some
of the internal footbridges
we cross are longer as bubbles
of knowledge and awareness
float up to us from deep below
it’s all here-and-now followed
by other here-and-nows strung
for us like gems to rub between
our fingers as we catch the light
reflected softly onto our faces
