Little Bits of Sweetness

I came across a delightful young human on my afternoon walk today. They had a lemonade stand with regular and mint lemonade (I chose mint) and homemade chocolate chip cookies, which the adorable young human informed me were “fwesh”. The lemonade was yummy — not too sweet and with no chemical taste. The cookies were amazing with so many giant chocolate chips in them that the chocolate all ran together. The cost for one cookie and a glass of lemonade? $1.00! We introduced ourselves to each other. They addressed me by my name from then on. Such a polite and friendly little soul. Then someone from the porch, far back in the yard, yelled, “You made a sale!?” and then yelled “Thank you!” to me. I responded with, “The cookies are amazing!” The small human beamed with pride as we waved goodbye to each other. Little joys and treasures everywhere in this world.
